Sheep

Wool to us is not just a resource, it's a material that tells the story of the region and the work of shepherds in regenerative nature practices.

The wool we use to make our blankets come from the local breed of sheep, known as the Kempisch Heideschaap. These sheep are used for maintaining the grasslands and graze daily in the landscape.

These sheep graze nature areas in the summer and the farmlands in the winter. They can be found working on Strabrechtse Heide, in Heeze, just 10 km from where the blankets are woven in the Weverijmuseum, Geldrop.

How is our product regenerative?

We work with ecologically minded shepherds who care for the health and well-being of their sheep. These sheep are not only breed for improving wool quality, but also for the independence and ruggedness of the sheep.
