Weavers
Weavers play an important role in making textiles. In the Netherlands weavers can be seen portrayed in Vincent Van Gogh paintings, working from their homes to make their special cloth. With the industrial revolution, mechanical looms replaced the house weavers. Wolwevers aim reclaim and make use these historical mechanical looms to make beautiful handwoven cloth.
Today we believe the role of weavers is important. We need weavers to practice their craft to continue developing local textiles and innovate regenerative alternatives.

Weaver, Founder
Handweaving is an age-old technique for making fabrics, but above all an inexhaustible play of patterns, yarns, textures and colours. In her handweaving workshop, Eva (1970) revives this old craft. Exclusive, high-quality, custom-made handwoven fabrics and reproductions of fabrics are created here in an artisanal manner. The aim of each fabric design is seductive quality with an eye for detail.

The Weaving Museum in Geldrop is a unique museum in the Netherlands because, in addition to being a museum with the textile story of the region, it also naturally weaves a large assortment of tea towels and, recently, textile design products.
For this purpose, the museum has a collection of 24 historical looms that are all still in operation. Within this collection, the museum has 2 wool looms that are unfortunately no longer actively being woven. The suggestive project of this application offers the museum the opportunity to also bring this heritage line back into focus.
Our new collection of samples and blankets are now in the making. At the moment our blankets have been sampled on the loom, and we are now selecting our first designs. Visit this page for weekly updates!
We believe in expanding the knowledge and expertise of weaving.
